Maria Anna Cingolo è un'illustratrice autodidatta.
Da sempre i libri sono la sua passione e si laurea in Lettere moderne, poi in Editoria e Scrittura a Roma. Frequenta a Verona un Master in editoria durante il quale capisce sempre di più di voler disegnare le figure dei libri. Nonostante questo, inizia a lavorare come correttrice di bozze, editor e grafica editoriale, disegnando solo nel tempo libero. Finalmente nel 2023 frequenta un corso di Illustrazione editoriale allo IED di Roma e decide di dedicarsi solo alla creazione di storie illustrate.
Per le sue illustrazioni usa soprattutto acquerelli, pastelli a cera e matite colorate.
Vive a Roma con suo marito Michele, il suo cane Snoopy e il diamantino Dexter, ma sogna una vita lontana dai rumori della città, in una casa circondata dalla natura e da dove si possa vedere sempre il cielo.

Maria Anna Cingolo is a self-taught illustrator.
Books have always been her passion, leading her to earn degrees in Modern Literature and Publishing & Writing in Rome. While pursuing a Master’s degree in Publishing in Verona, she realized more and more that her true calling was to illustrate the characters and scenes within books. Despite this realization, she began her career as a proofreader, editor, and book graphic designer, dedicating only her free time to drawing. Finally, in 2023, she attended a course in Editorial Illustration at IED in Rome and decided to devote herself exclusively to creating illustrated stories.
For her illustrations, she mainly uses watercolors, wax pastels, and colored pencils.
She lives in Rome with her husband Michele, her dog Snoopy, and her zebra finch Dexter. However, she dreams of a life far from the city noise, in a house surrounded by nature where the sky is always in view.
